The Mobile Visit in Rayleigh
We turn up with everything needed and carry out the work on site. Driveway, road outside the house where it is safe to work, or a workplace car park, all fine.
If the vehicle is used for work, we will schedule around that. Most owners find a visit costs them far less time than a day without the vehicle.
02
What a Remap Does, and What It Does Not
A proper calibration changes how the engine responds: how it picks up, how it holds speed, how it behaves when it is loaded. That is what owners notice day to day.
What it is not is a shortcut around a fault, and it is not a guarantee of anything specific on a fuel bill. Anyone promising you a figure before they have read your vehicle is guessing. We would rather tell you what the work involves and let the vehicle speak for itself.
03
Vans and Small Businesses
Rayleigh has plenty of trades and small operators, and those vans are doing a lot of short, repetitive journeys mixed in with the occasional longer run. That pattern suits economy-focused calibration, and it is often the most sensible thing to do to a hard-working van.
Where a business runs several vehicles, we look at them as a set and plan the work around your schedule.
04
Diagnostics Before Tuning
Before we write anything, we read the vehicle properly. What is stored, what is running as it should, what is not. Then we tell you what we found in plain English.
If the vehicle needs work first, that comes first.
05
DPF, AdBlue and EGR
Commuter duty cycles are the classic cause of diesel filter trouble. Repeated short journeys with the engine never reaching a proper working temperature give the filter no chance to clean itself, and the warning light arrives sooner or later.
We diagnose first, so we know whether this is a soot issue or a physical blockage. Soot may clear with the right kind of run. A blocked filter needs cleaning or replacement, and no amount of software will change that. AdBlue faults are the same story: earlier is always cheaper and easier than later.
We do not remove or defeat emissions equipment. That is an MOT failure waiting to happen and a legal problem for the owner.
06
Gearbox and How the Vehicle Feels
Automatic and dual-clutch transmissions are common here, and commuter traffic is hard on them. If the owner is unhappy with how the gearbox behaves, we can discuss that as a separate piece of work after looking at the vehicle.

Why Rayleigh Drivers Use Kent Eco Tuning
We are a genuinely independent, IMI certified and fully insured mobile specialist. That means the person who turns up is the person responsible for the result, and the advice you get is not filtered through a sales process.
We will tell you honestly whether tuning suits your vehicle. That is the whole proposition.
