What Are Swirl Flaps?
Swirl flaps are small butterfly valves located in the intake manifold of many diesel engines. Their purpose is to improve fuel-air mixing at low engine speeds, boosting efficiency and reducing emissions. However, over time they can become:
• Loose or detached, risking catastrophic engine damage
• Clogged with carbon deposits, reducing airflow and performance
• A source of fault codes and poor drivability
Our Swirlflap Solution is a ECU solution only and will require the Swirlflaps being capped off.
